After a rather tough play, Överås BK's Eric Hjälm got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eric Hjälm in the 6 minute of the game. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute of the match Patricio Costa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikael Vennerström skillfully saved the ball. In the 15th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Kellberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Vennerström having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Bengt Hedbom came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Överås BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Hedbom couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Douglas Fransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Överås BK's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Mikael Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes, Tobias Kellberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Överås BK and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mikael Vennerström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Överås BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikael Vennerström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eric Hjälm hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Hjälm during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Överås BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Hjälm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Vennerström having to interfere. In the 95th minute Douglas Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Kellberg in the 97th minute of play.
