After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Durval Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Durval Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egon Isaksson during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peru booed when ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Isaksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Durval Aparecido dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Guilherme Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guilherme Zanette made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s André Luís Zanette was substituted for Durval Aparecido. After the first half Peru were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Luís Zanette made a kick off. Guilherme Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Luz Tejedor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guilherme Zanette was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 78th minute André Luís Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Eugênio Novaes in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Zanette having to interfere.
