Paw Nibelvang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Teddi Suutari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a FC Gamla Stan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Torres got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Teddi Suutari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Gamla Stan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teddi Suutari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Michel Torres sent off a good shot on target. Paw Nibelvang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Gamla Stan were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teddi Suutari took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Teddi Suutari got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Gamla Stan's goalkeeper Paw Nibelvang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Héctor Quintero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michel Torres went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Teddi Suutari came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teddi Suutari to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Teddi Suutari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Teddi Suutari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teddi Suutari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teddi Suutari scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teddi Suutari in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 74 minutes into the game, Markus Borten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gamla Stan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Markus Borten kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Tomas Illescas off the ground. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teddi Suutari in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Gamla Stan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Olrog didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Gamla Stan made a substitution. Morgan Niby replaced Teddi Suutari. In the 93rd minute of the game Ricardo Olrog made a throw-in which Markus Borten played forward. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morgan Niby in the 95th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morgan Niby in the 96th minute of the match. FC Gamla Stan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
