Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdemar Kuoppala started the match with the kick off. When Taisto Pentsinen came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Manchester United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taisto Pentsinen couldn't finish the play. Valdemar Kuoppala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Axel Montenegro. 12 minutes into the game, one of Colombia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar Kuoppala's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 16th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar Kuoppala in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 22nd minute of play. If Valdemar Kuoppala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Valdemar Kuoppala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Kuoppala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taisto Pentsinen's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 31 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Rio Ferdinand. 33 minutes into the game, Manchester United FC's Taisto Pentsinen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 36th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 37th minute of play. When Eero Uusipaavalniemi fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United FC's protests and gave Eero Uusipaavalniemi a yellow card for diving instead. Eero Uusipaavalniemi kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Manchester United FC made a substitution. Pietari Puhakainen replaced Eero Uusipaavalniemi. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Valdemar Kuoppala struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United FC. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Indiano to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Pietari Puhakainen in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Antonio Indiano.
