Cyprian Kopacz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Borcz in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Cyprian Kopacz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cyprian Kopacz could save by the left post. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
