Pedro Gorka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Gorka in the 6th minute. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Nemesio Cerilo came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nemesio Cerilo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after pciclon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nemesio Cerilo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, pciclon's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Nemesio Cerilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Cerilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Pastor Fidele made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Julian Murillo scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nemesio Cerilo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. pciclon's Nemesio Cerilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nemesio Cerilo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Medina in the 60th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Nemesio Medina put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hermínio Rossi in the 65 minute of the game. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nemesio Cerilo having to make a save. 66 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nemesio Cerilo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 66 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With an all-out effort, Peru's Nemesio Cerilo threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 80th minute, Luz Tejedor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Eliseo Alcocer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nemesio Cerilo quite easily take care of the ball. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Nemesio Cerilo made a huge save.
