In the 20th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Grigoriy Avrutov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Grigoriy Avrutov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Boteanu in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, GONDWONALAND's Grigoriy Avrutov got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grigoriy Avrutov made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Grigoriy Avrutov was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigoriy Avrutov having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Grigoriy Avrutov however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Valer Boteanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Grigoriy Avrutov in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 41 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Boteanu in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Boteanu in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GONDWONALAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Målare didn't get a good kick on the ball. GONDWONALAND's Fidencio Santander got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Valer Boteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 65th minute of play forced GONDWONALAND's goalkeeper Grigoriy Avrutov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Léo Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valer Boteanu got free with Julio Vera in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Grigoriy Avrutov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valer Boteanu in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 78 minutes into the match, GONDWONALAND's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Mancebo came free, but Grigoriy Avrutov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
