Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. When Emiliano Pancho came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the FLAMENGO San Sebastian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Pancho couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Fresnos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 14 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Angelo Fresnos could save by the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after FLAMENGO San Sebastian's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FLAMENGO San Sebastian's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 21 minutes into the game, Stepan Petunin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. 24 minutes into the game, FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Emiliano Pancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Caitano Galego was substituted for Per Åström. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 76 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Montenegro. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emiliano Pancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 79 minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Emiliano Pancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Fresnos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Fresnos. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. A long shot from Louis Japón in the 91st minute of play was well struck, but Julio Vera made a really good save at the right post. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Angelo Fresnos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ecuador lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
