Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Macabeo Sampil started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Artur Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Artur Boruc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Rayo Bengala's Bernard Rienda got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Artur Boruc came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. In the 12th minute Rayo Bengala were awarded a corner. Macabeo Sampil went to the cornerflag to take it. Rayo Bengala's Çağan Ros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard shot 13 in the game by Çağan Ros from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Boruc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Boruc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Artur Boruc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 29 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nerio Etxeberria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Nerio Etxeberria took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rayo Bengala's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc did a great save. 45 minutes into the match, Rayo Bengala's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Artur Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artur Boruc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Artur Boruc in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. If Policarpio Lama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Rayo Bengala got a freekick which was hit by Nerio Etxeberria. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Boruc having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Artur Boruc made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Artur Boruc was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. A collision led to Rayo Bengala getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Nerio Etxeberria hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rayo Bengala made a substitution. Muntis Stiebriņsons replaced Macabeo Sampil. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Artur Boruc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Julen Castellano came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rayo Bengala's Policarpio Lama pulled a muscle in his back after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Juan Sebastián Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Sebastián Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rayo Bengala's Palacios Bobes was substituted for Policarpio Lama. In the 90th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muntis Stiebriņsons, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Teodosio Lorenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rayo Bengala.
