In the 2nd minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niceto Xacintu hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Flying Dutch were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eurico Batista took the corner. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Xacintu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 26th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Batista struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flying Dutch. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Niceto Xacintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Flying Dutch got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eurico Batista ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Raymundo in the 38th minute of the match. Higinio Raymundo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Shen Fan Shu made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 43rd minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Raymundo in the 59th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Batista took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Shen Fan Shu made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. Eurico Batista's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eurico Batista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Eurico Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Arthur Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Xacintu in the 93rd minute of play. Niceto Xacintu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Flying Dutch were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Uruguay for a fine match.
