Niceto Xacintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Higinio Raymundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Amorim having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Fabian Ivașcu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 32nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of play. Niceto Xacintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Higinio Raymundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flying Dutch's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Raymundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabian Ivașcu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Basilio Lain kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Eurico Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Arthur Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Arthur Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute of play. Shen Fan Shu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match.
