With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miron Zabel in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Villamarin saved Leones FC from getting behind. Evander Zabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepillo Servin in the 18th minute of play. Evander Zabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilio Lorca, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ciudad Tao FC's Evander Zabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilio Lorca in the 23rd minute of play. Alfonso Villamarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Goiano in the 24th minute of the match. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miron Zabel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Villamarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Goiano in the 51st minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Leones FC's goalie and right to Marcelo Osório. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Leones FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Alfonso Villamarin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Malheiro's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Malheiro came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Malheiro in the 70th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Villamarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciudad Tao FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joakim Vennerlund in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Jairo Malheiro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin. Alfonso Villamarin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leones FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
