La Magica's Barnaba Poremba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Dziuma came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barnaba Poremba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
