A collision led to Torreoncito getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rufino Narea hit a great ball. Qi Guo Yue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Bünzli in the 17th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elodio Faine in the 19th minute of play. Qi Guo Yue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 21st minute of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Bünzli in the 26th minute of play. Elodio Faine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Elodio Faine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Torreoncito getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kaljo Kravik hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Qi Guo Yue made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lucas Bünzli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torreoncito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelado Masson in the 58th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qi Guo Yue having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play Torreoncito's Adolf Uchiha was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Adolf Uchiha kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Torreoncito's Adolf Uchiha got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Qi Guo Yue could save by the left post. In the 75th minute, Jeremías Basabilvaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Torreoncito booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Olguín came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Torreoncito's Qi Guo Yue got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 88th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
