Tomás Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Carita got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tomas Berganza. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentino Dominix's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Tomás Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Panama's Jose Carita got a free kick in the 38th minute. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Berganza charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Berganza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Florentino Dominix took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th minute of the match, Florentino Dominix tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Pepillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Panama booed when Deportivo de Coba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Guerau didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Pepillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes in the game Dylan Sarmiento did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Berganza. If Florentino Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Deportivo de Coba's Tomás Pepillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 84th minute of play. Miguel Miralles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deportivo de Coba's Tomás Pepillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo de Coba from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute Deportivo de Coba were awarded a corner. Edgard Mendiko went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Deportivo de Coba's corner Edgard Mendiko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Cotilla quite easily take care of the ball. Despite being the better team, Panama failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
