Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Radoslav Tonković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radoslav Tonković saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Teutonic Order getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Slobodan Timotijević hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Teutonic Order's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radoslav Tonković came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teutonic Order's Radoslav Tonković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. When Grgur Komljenović came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Teutonic Order fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grgur Komljenović couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Viktor Panić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grgur Komljenović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radoslav Tonković saved Teutonic Order from getting behind. Slobodan Timotijević kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, one of Teutonic Order:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Radoslav Tonković. 0-1. Teutonic Order's Radoslav Tonković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Momir Prvulović was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teutonic Order's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Teutonic Order was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Momir Prvulović didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Slobodan Timotijević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Radoslav Tonković. The goal made the score 0-2. Radoslav Tonković was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Tomas Illescas sped through Teutonic Order's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Radoslav Tonković. With a little luck, Teutonic Order's Radoslav Tonković got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radoslav Tonković made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute. A collision led to Teutonic Order getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Slobodan Timotijević hit a great ball. If Grgur Komljenović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
