Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robertas Achilas in the 11th minute of the match. Egidijus Plungys hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Egidijus Petukas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Ignas Vilčinskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egidijus Petukas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Egidijus Petukas. Nadruvis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Daumantas Navikas sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Nadruvis's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Egidijus Petukas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mindaugas Milašius during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Vygandas Morkus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 42nd minute of the match, Vygandas Morkus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Egidijus Petukas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nadruvis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egidijus Petukas should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vygandas Morkus to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Egidijus Petukas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mindaugas Milašius got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Nadruvis getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Mindaugas Milašius hit a great ball. A hard shot by Daniel Zorita from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Egidijus Petukas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Egidijus Petukas made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Nadruvis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Nadruvis getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Robertas Achilas hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Daumantas Navikas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egidijus Petukas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 95 minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
