Rene Vereijt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. If Cassius Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when USA's Cassius Byrne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob May in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Hamza Yavaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ouagadougou National's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamza Yavaş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Rene Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Vereijt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. William Westelinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Westelinx in the 30th minute. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamza Yavaş in the 36th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Vereijt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, USA's Raphael Moore got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Westelinx got free with Marco Day in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Rene Vereijt made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. After 53 minutes, Cassius Byrne made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx got a free kick in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when William Westelinx came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of USA booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamza Yavaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Abdulla Baia was substituted for Paolo Evis. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Bernebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute German Bernebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassius Byrne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Rene Vereijt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Abdulla Baia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Bernebe in the 86th minute of play. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. After 91 minutes FC Ouagadougou National's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jenson Smith who took care of the corner kick. USA's Sam Campbell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rene Vereijt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 95 minutes into the game, FC Ouagadougou National's Dani Rojas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the final whistle sounded USA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Ouagadougou National.
