A collision led to Torreoncito getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Elodio Faine hit a great ball. Qi Guo Yue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Fontirroig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Qi Guo Yue narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Qi Guo Yue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 15th minute of play. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Enmanuel Escerza scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 1-0. Qi Guo Yue didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Orlando Casaus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 30th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enmanuel Escerza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 36th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Enmanuel Escerza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thiago Pliego. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. Patryk Bryk kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enmanuel Escerza to make the kick off. Qi Guo Yue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 59th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Qi Guo Yue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Qi Guo Yue was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-2. After some careless play in the Torreoncito defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Qi Guo Yue. The Torreoncito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Qi Guo Yue should have stopped the shot. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Olguín in the 76th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Olguín came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Olguín came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Olguín, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, Torreoncito's Wang Ying Yong got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Qi Guo Yue breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
