With an all-out effort, Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jarl Tholsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Quintin having to interfere. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Quintin. Zeledon Quintin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Donato Gustau struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linea 174 Ramal Castillo. In the 32ndth minute of the game Donato Gustau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zeledon Quintin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 38th match minute, Linea 174 Ramal Castillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trond Sørli to maneuver through the defense. Isaias Lugo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Linea 174 Ramal Castillo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Gustau made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linea 174 Ramal Castillo the free kick. After 53 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. In the 55th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaias Lugo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Linea 174 Ramal Castillo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Donato Gustau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Gustau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Gustau in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Donato Gustau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's Zeledon Quintin got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Rafal Zielinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Marz in the 86th minute of play. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Gustau in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Linea 174 Ramal Castillo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
