Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Odin came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Marcus Odin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 8th minute Amedeo De Matteis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo De Matteis in the 8th minute of play. Gualter Roriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualter Roriz. Gualter Roriz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualter Roriz was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute. Andaka Mula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Gualter Roriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Odin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaka Mula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaka Mula in the 25th minute of play. When Delta FS's Andaka Mula in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hélder Cavaco hit a great ball. Andaka Mula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gualter Roriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualter Roriz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Andaka Mula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andaka Mula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Marcus Odin made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Odin in the 51st minute of the match. 51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Odin came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Odin in the 57th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Álvaro Vilaverde made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andaka Raa in the 67th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Amedeo De Matteis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Odin in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Vilaverde during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Odin in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Gualter Roriz made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Delta FS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Gualter Roriz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Harry Bengtsson hit a great ball. When Marcus Odin came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Delta FS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Odin couldn't finish the play. Delta FS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
