After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Tim Vranken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Bryan Creemers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Dany-Adams Coeckelberghs might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dany-Adams Coeckelberghs ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Dany-Adams Coeckelberghs sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Vranken in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Thananiti Cheewawipat took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thananiti Cheewawipat made a kick off.
