In the 27th minute, Luke Van Den Driessche reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 4-0. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Soares in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Muslim FC's Arshad Niazi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimonds Plors got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Muslim FC's Bernardo Soares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. In the 44th minute, Bernardo Soares made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Bernardo Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Muslim FC's Arshad Niazi got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Muslim FC's Luke Van Den Driessche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luke Van Den Driessche took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. In the 74th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Muslim FC made a substitution. Mir Khalid replaced Atilano Leguizamón. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Van Den Driessche in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. 82 minutes into the game, Mir Khalid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muslim FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Salvador the free kick. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Muslim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mir Khalid didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Luke Van Den Driessche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arshad Niazi in the 88th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Van Den Driessche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Soares in the 92nd managed to get into a good position.
