Guillermo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Chile. Mariano Lacasa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jolan Galindo. 0-1. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jelle Ceustermans during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. La Pointe Courte's Gilbert Thellier was substituted for Alain Girault. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Yves Leite replaced Roch Felenak. Jolan Galindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 66th minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yves Leite in the 67th minute of play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
