With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Frogos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mattias Jansson to make any attempt to save it. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, Los Frogos's Mieszko Lichorobiec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Jansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Mieszko Lichorobiec hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Christoffer Mårtensson made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoffer Mårtensson in the 41st managed to get into a good position. In the 50th play minute Christoffer Mårtensson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 2-3. In the 54th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Marcus Ekblom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Marcus Ekblom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute Christoffer Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Godholm made a great header on Los Frogos's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Mattias Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 62nd minute of the match. Mattias Jansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play forced Los Frogos's goalkeeper Mattias Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 65th minute of play. Mattias Jansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Los Frogos's Mattias Jansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 75th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Christoffer Mårtensson sent off a good shot on target. Mattias Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Jansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Haldun Bilen sent off a good shot on target. When Christoffer Mårtensson came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Los Frogos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoffer Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
