In the 3rd minute of the match Chelsea Headhunters got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yana Brolin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Kutluay Acartürk. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Otsoko in the 5th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kutluay Acartürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodion Cămătarus short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matthew McKail showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Chelsea Headhunters were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yana Brolin took the corner. In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew McKail saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Matthew McKail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Otsoko in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Otsoko got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Chelsea Headhunters's Gonzalo Otsoko in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. With an all-out effort, Chelsea Headhunters's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yana Brolin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through Chelsea Headhunters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matthew McKail. In the 38th minute of the match, Rodion Cămătaru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the Chelsea Headhunters defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthew McKail. The Chelsea Headhunters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthew McKail should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Otsoko. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Matthew McKail in the 50th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea Headhunters's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthew McKail came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodion Cămătaru in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Gonzalo Otsoko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matthew McKail made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Otsoko's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonzalo Otsoko in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Otsoko in the 61st minute of play. When Chelsea Headhunters's Gonzalo Otsoko in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Matthew McKail made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 68th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Otsoko in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matthew McKail was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Otsoko in the 72nd minute of play. Alvaro Matxin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Chelsea Headhunters's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Matthew McKail reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Matthew McKail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 雷鹏飞 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rodion Cămătaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, 雷鹏飞 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than Chelsea Headhunters and deserved their victory. The Chelsea Headhunters players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
