When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Fausto Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes Corrupção DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Corrupção DMZ's Fausto Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Corrupção DMZ's Hélder da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fausto Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Corrupção DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Radoslaw Dlugi. In the 45th minute, Hélder da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Rossi was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fausto Gaspar, 0-2. 55 minutes into the match, Corrupção DMZ's goalkeeper Fausto Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Fausto Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrupção DMZ's Diego Armando was substituted for Radoslaw Dlugi. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fausto Gaspar quite easily take care of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Corrupção DMZ's goalkeeper Fausto Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The Corrupção DMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
