Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Smash FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Felipillo. Paulino Mitxaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Julio Vera had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Venancio Felipillo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Smash FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fivos Martinakis hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Smash FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Paulino Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Denis Viviano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Venancio Felipillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fivos Martinakis in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Smash FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Paulino Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulino Mitxaut in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Denis Viviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Smash FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Paulino Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Celso Cedro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Viviano to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Viviano in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Cedro in the 61st minute of the match. Paulino Mitxaut was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fivos Martinakis in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Smash FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Viviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smash FC were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Venancio Felipillo took the corner. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Smash FC's goalkeeper Paulino Mitxaut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulino Mitxaut came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 94th minute. Ecuador played a much better game than Smash FC and deserved their victory. The Smash FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
