Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilberto Cordeiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Camilo Gaos tried in the 33rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Jonathan Ferrant a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. 36 minutes into the game, Pindobassu EC's Jeff Beck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorian Hoffmann in the 40th minute. Dorian Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeff Beck in the 44th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorian Hoffmann in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Donatello in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pindobassu EC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Rodriguez came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorian Hoffmann went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Veiga came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Pindobassu EC were the better team. Pindobassu EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
