Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frans Mossberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Frans Mossberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the game, Hammarby IF's Celedonio Dominguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Isaltino Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francesco Totti. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Vester having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Totti, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti. But to his dismay, Francesco Totti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Celedonio Dominguez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celedonio Dominguez to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Frans Mossberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Hammarby IF were awarded a corner. Isaltino Paes went to the cornerflag to take it. After 86 minutes, Johan Lindqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammarby IF and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hammarby IF getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Johan Lindqvist hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Vester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Bremming came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Celedonio Dominguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 93rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Söderberg went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Celedonio Dominguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hammarby IF fully deserved thier win.
