Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Deery in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Severino Paião. Lamestars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 34th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Paião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lamestars booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lamestars's Davie Barrett got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Paião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 41st minute of play. Corey Keegan made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Brazil Rogers however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Deery in the 44th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes in the game, Paul Deery dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Deery was the one to do the kick off. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Paul Deery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Severino Paião made a huge save. Brecc Bayes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Lamestars's goalkeeper Severino Paião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Paul Deery kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Lamestars's Berchan Frankson was substituted for Brazil Rogers. Severino Paião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 70th minute. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Severino Paião came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Tafalla slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Paião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Paião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 78th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Severino Paião threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Severino Paião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 83rd minute of play. Lamestars's Severino Paião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute Séamus Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Séamus Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
