Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ege Vecih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ege Vecih made a huge save. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing AC Pitt Bier to leave the ground with a draw.
