Pipis Culot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pipis Culot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 14th minute of play forced Municipales FC's goalkeeper Pipis Culot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pipis Culot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Sidney Joannes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Joannes came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Pipis Culot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Lluterio kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Joannes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Peru's Efraim Gilabert got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney Joannes's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfonso Cordeara who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Marcin Puch got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Municipales FC made a substitution. Borja Iglesias replaced Sidney Joannes. 66 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Pipis Culot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Borja Iglesias came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Municipales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borja Iglesias couldn't finish the play. Pipis Culot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 82nd minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Municipales FC's Alfonso Cordeara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Peru. A sloppy throw-in by Patricio Lluterio in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Borja Iglesias, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The supporters of Municipales FC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball.
