Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 6th minute, Galatasaray SK's Evstati Komitski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lozan Branev, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Lozan Branev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evstati Komitski, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Denko Kishev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evstati Komitski in the 34th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denko Kishev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Benito Sanz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iliya Stilyanov. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evstati Komitski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galatasaray SK's goalie prevented a goal. When Subin Kovachki fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray SK's protests and gave Subin Kovachki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Subin Kovachki hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denko Kishev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lozan Branev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evstati Komitski in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Galatasaray SK booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodor Popnikolov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Evstati Komitski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denko Kishev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Lozan Branev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Denko Kishev got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Lozan Branev notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Galatasaray SK's Evstati Komitski got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Galatasaray SK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Costa Rica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
