In the 15th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Bartolo Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Carlos Cesaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Carlos Cesaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cesaro in the 32nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's Carlos Cesaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Cesaro to strike the kick off in the second half. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MARTINETA's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Cesaro in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Anthony Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. MARTINETA made a substitution. Alexander Buonanno replaced Albino Eliu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Qiang Xiao in the 64th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute of the game Andrey Atamanenko made a throw-in which Nacho Roca played forward. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Anthony Alvarado put in a rough tackle. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peru! In the 85th minute, João Severino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MARTINETA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After 94 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Gallo. Eliseo Alcocer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Beliran having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Peru players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
