The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanju Çolak got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Aras Orak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aras Orak really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Baltasar Calado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tanju Çolak. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltasar Calado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Aras Orak got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 3-0. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Calado having to interfere. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aras Orak to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Behram Okyanus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tanju Çolak went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cihan Veysel in the 62nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Cihan Veysel notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Calado having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanju Çolak in the 70th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aras Orak, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Patricio Costa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 76 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. 77 minutes into the game, Akay Yürükoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. umutspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Venezuela's Roberto Ocampo was substituted for Patricio Costa. In the 78th minute, Akay Yürükoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltasar Calado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Baltasar Calado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The umutspor fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
