Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Rayo Tharkad defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Snäll. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Rune Snäll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita suffered a sprained foot after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Bermejo during the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Rayo Tharkad's Juan Bermejo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Rayo Tharkad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Lacorte in the 25th minute of play. Luz Palacio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Snäll read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apoena Ocaña. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Snäll having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rayo Tharkad made a substitution. Rune Snäll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Snäll. Rayo Tharkad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manolo Lacorte to strike the kick off in the second half. Luz Palacio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Rune Snäll made a huge save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rune Snäll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Rayo Tharkad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Dorado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manolo Lacorte went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Luz Palacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rune Snäll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 minutes Rayo Tharkad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felix Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Rayo Tharkad's Rune Snäll got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 91 minutes, Manolo Lacorte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rayo Tharkad and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Rayo Tharkad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolo Lacorte to maneuver through the defense.
