Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ur in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saverio Gonchan was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Victorino Bastia kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Cieneguita booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ur in the 21st minute of play. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Gonchan having to interfere. In the 29th minute Diego Manex shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Cieneguita's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Saverio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saverio Gonchan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 36 played minutes Cieneguita got a freekick which was hit by Rene Erruki. With his leg Saverio Gonchan managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Cristobal Cefero fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cieneguita's protests and gave Cristobal Cefero a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cieneguita's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Gonchan came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Manex came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Cieneguita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Erruki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

58 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Saverio Gonchan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play forced Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Gonchan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Diego Manex came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Cieneguita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Manex couldn't finish the play. Saverio Gonchan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Saverio Gonchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 79th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Cieneguita's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Saverio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saverio Gonchan. Saverio Gonchan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Cieneguita's Saverio Gonchan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 85th minute of play. Saverio Gonchan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Delmiro Gilesindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saverio Gonchan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
