Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diego Manex started the match with the kick off. Cieneguita's Saverio Gonchan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 4th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Cristian Ur recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Cristian Ur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Gonchan having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Cristian Ur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cieneguita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Ur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Cieneguita defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saverio Gonchan. The Cieneguita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saverio Gonchan should have stopped the shot. Saverio Gonchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Gonchan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Delmiro Gilesindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Delmiro Gilesindo was slow to take the kick. During this time Cieneguita's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Santiago Larpe heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Saverio Gonchan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Cieneguita's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Saverio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Cristian Ur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Saverio Gonchan came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cieneguita's Saverio Gonchan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Cieneguita from getting a goal against them. In the 57th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Manex's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Saverio Gonchan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ur in the 62nd minute of play. 2-2 became the score in the 63rd minute when Cristian Ur elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Ur, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Cristian Ur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Ur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Cieneguita's Cristian Ur. But to his dismay, Cristian Ur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Daniel Zorita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 97 minutes of play, Cieneguita's Cristian Ur made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, Cieneguita could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
