When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Rune Rolfsson sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Asbjørn Sundal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Asbjørn Sundal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Asbjørn Sundal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 81 minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Ofspor's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Asbjørn Sundal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ofspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çağdaş Nadir didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. The Ofspor players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
