The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Başar Tanyel. AtletikEdirne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Başar Tanyel. Başar Tanyel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Başar Tanyel in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Başar Tanyel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Başar Tanyel in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Başar Tanyel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Camilo Franco could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Başar Tanyel however easily saved by the left post. 88 minutes into the match, AtletikEdirne's goalkeeper Başar Tanyel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco.
