Eusébio Rezende dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Rezende in the 95th minute of play. The Leão STAND BY FSCMZ support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
