Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of MMM booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Velko Borgovski might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Velko Borgovski ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Velko Borgovski in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. 18 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinand Prunaru. In the 19th minute, Krasen Kovachki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miladin Radosov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Velko Borgovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 30th minute. Miladin Radosov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MMM's Branimir Beluhov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 36 minute of the game. Francesco Totti hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdinand Prunaru kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Velko Borgovski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Velko Borgovski was the one to do the kick off. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. MMM's Ferdinand Prunaru got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velko Borgovski in the 62nd minute of play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. If Velko Borgovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MMM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Lautaro Puig scored to the left of an out of position Miladin Radosov, making the score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 81st minute of play forced MMM's goalkeeper Miladin Radosov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Miladin Radosov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Velko Borgovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miladin Radosov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Costa Rica eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
