Victorino Tallia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Attilio Perna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Attilio Perna came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attilio Perna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bogumil Dombrowski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Tallia. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Attilio Perna. Attilio Perna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Graneros's Attilio Perna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Perna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes Graneros's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Attilio Perna came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 44 minutes into the match, Graneros's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Attilio Perna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliberto Otsando made a kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Attilio Perna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Graneros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogumil Dombrowski to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Attilio Perna. Graneros's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, Graneros's Feliberto Otsando made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Lesardo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Victorino Tallia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Tallia, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Graneros's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Attilio Perna, making the score, 1-4. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Attilio Perna made a huge save. Attilio Perna made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Attilio Perna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 88th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Attilio Perna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Felix Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
