In the 20th minute Traian Curuțiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Jailson Abraão in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jailson Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Hasan Keyfer's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Monty Rogers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jailson Abraão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ahmet Hasan Keyfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Curuțiu came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Eduardo Guerrero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute FC MeHigh were awarded a corner. Ahmet Hasan Keyfer went to the cornerflag to take it. 60 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Curuțiu. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
