Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Staffan Ivarsson got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tage Vassenius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Göransson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of DIÖ IK's Yngve Göransson. Yngve Göransson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Per-Oskar Alfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, DIÖ IK's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Yngve Göransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Tage Vassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Olov Stolpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. DIÖ IK were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elof Pååk took the corner. The corner led to DIÖ IK's Staffan Ivarsson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 40 minutes into the match, DIÖ IK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Yngve Göransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Staffan Ivarsson sent off a good shot on target. DIÖ IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elof Pååk in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan-Ove Pilblad hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Yngve Göransson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 51st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Zorita. Staffan Ivarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Yngve Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, DIÖ IK's Yngve Göransson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 69 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Yngve Göransson managed to make a qualified save. DIÖ IK's players were relieved. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Staffan Ivarsson in the 70th minute of play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yngve Göransson having to make a save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Jan-Ove Pilblad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIÖ IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After a rather tough play, DIÖ IK's Jan-Ove Pilblad got a free kick in the 79th minute. DIÖ IK's Yngve Göransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save DIÖ IK from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by DIÖ IK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 87 played minutes DIÖ IK got a freekick which was hit by Elof Pååk. Jan-Ove Pilblad kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Göransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
