Noel Duarte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Noel Duarte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-0. Noel Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s goalkeeper Sune Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Noel Duarte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felix Montenegro. After a rather tough play, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Flavinho Cabral got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Noel Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Noel Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. If Noel Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ made a substitution. Adriano Schmidt replaced Cristian Paraense. Sune Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Noel Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 85 played minutes ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ got a freekick which was hit by Valeh Cerda. Sune Rudberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 91st minute. Noel Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
