In the 10th minute Mario Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Unai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Miralles made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Pontiac Bandit's Bernabe Sotero. 20 minutes into the match, The Pontiac Bandit's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Fontirroig came free, but Jairo Unai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Gallo made in the 23rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alfredo Ferrant however managed to control. 27 minutes into the match, Alfonso de la Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Unai. The Pontiac Bandit's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso de la Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Pontiac Bandit's Sixto Felipillo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Miralles, made in the 41st minute of the game. In the 43rd minute Julio Chicote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Unai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of The Pontiac Bandit booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Cosme Guilabertus from long distance, 48 minutes into the match, got Camilo Freixa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After the first half Bolivia were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Avellaneda to make the kick off. Joshua Miralles kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Unai. That made the score 0-5 after 56 minutes of play. Alfredo Ferrant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Eduardo Fontirroig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Unai. The Pontiac Bandit's Jairo Unai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save The Pontiac Bandit from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes in the game Mario Fernandino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eduardo Fontirroig. 67 minutes into the match, The Pontiac Bandit's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Fontirroig came free, but Jairo Unai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Tejedor made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Pontiac Bandit's Godfredo Lizbeth. The Pontiac Bandit's Jairo Unai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save The Pontiac Bandit from getting a goal against them. Jairo Unai came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig. But to his dismay, Eduardo Fontirroig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 86th minute, Bernabe Sotero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Julio Chicote ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Unai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bolivia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
