Luiz Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Faria in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes Sconvols United got a freekick which was hit by Willian Siqueira. Luiz Faria hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Luiz Faria made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 39 played minutes Sconvols United got a freekick which was hit by Florian Vinci. Angelo Di Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 40th minute of the match. Angelo Di Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Angelo Di Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Miralles in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play forced Sconvols United's goalkeeper Angelo Di Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sconvols United getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Shingo Aoi hit a great ball. The long shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 63rd minute really tested Angelo Di Salvatore's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 68th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Di Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luiz Faria came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Sconvols United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Faria couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. When Matthew Garrido fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Matthew Garrido a yellow card for diving instead. Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Luiz Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sconvols United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Panama a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abraham Alguacil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sconvols United's Angelo Di Salvatore. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Faria in the 84th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Sconvols United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Nicolau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Di Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Panama supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Panama would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
