The corner ended in Gospodin Vidinski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. Gospodin Vidinski struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSKA. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, CSKA's Svetozar Kelchev got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
